Rolex Datejust 16234 Silver “NOS”

Reference 16234 is the first Datejust to have had sapphire instead of plexiglass, offering a little more resistance and a slightly more modern look than previous references. The indexes and hands are in tritium, which offers a charming vintage touch. The overall condition of the watch is beyond amazing, it has retained all its original parts, meaning nothing was changed during service and it has never been polished. The green sticker on the caseback show how close to new this example is. These are know to fade rapidly once worn, and judging how crisp that sticker is, it was perhaps never worn at all. The clasp is still stiff and stays in place, which is also an indicator that the watch is close to unworn.
