Our shared passion for watches led us to establish Veritas Vintage Watches, a company that specialises in selling luxury vintage timepieces to clients worldwide. Our friendship began in childhood and strengthened as we regularly met to indulge in our shared hobby. In 2018, we purchased our first watch and subsequently embarked on a journey of collecting and reselling vintage watches. As we delved deeper into the captivating world of horology, we were constantly amazed by the impeccable condition of certain timepieces. Discovering these led us to want to share these gems with others. From that point on, we never ceased to learn about the watch industry, constantly seeking to expand our knowledge and expertise in the field. We made it a priority to transmit our understanding with others in order to demystify the complexities of this fascinating and intricate domain.
It was this focus and fascination that inspired us to create our company, which we named after the Roman goddess Veritas. As the daughter of Saturn, the God of time, she embodies our company culture and represents the values we strive for: truthfulness, honesty and transparency. In 2021, we dove into reselling and founded Veritas Vintage Watches with a commitment to offering original and high-quality watches. Our passion for vintage watches continues to drive us today and we are devoted to sharing it with as many people as possible.
After the success of Veritas Vintage Watches we seized the opportunity to expand our service offering by launching Adonis Modern Watches in 2023 and welcomed Maximiliaan to our team. With our combined expertise, we are now able to ensure an exceptional experience for an even larger customer base globally, whether they are searching for vintage or modern watches.
Whether it be through Veritas or Adonis, our mission remains the same: to become your go-to destination for watches. We cater to a wide range of customers, from those just starting to explore the world of horology to the most dedicated collectors. Our aim has always been to provide personalised service and deliver only top-quality timepieces, while continuously learning and sharing our knowledge with customers and like-minded watch enthusiasts.
Alex
I am Alex, an architecture graduate from EPFL and a passionate watch enthusiast from a young age. I have always been intrigued by the complexity of mechanical and technical things, and watches, combining a variety of designs and the way they show such an essential thing as time, quickly became one of my biggest passion. My first piece, a vintage Longines, was a gift from my father and sparked a lifelong interest in watches. For me, watches are not just accessories but complex mechanical and historically important objects. With my background in architecture, I try to bring a unique perspective and appreciation for the design, precision and craftsmanship that goes into each timepiece. My passion for watches is evident in my attention to detail and dedication to understanding the intricacies of these mechanical marvels.
Tim
I am Tim, a graduate from EHL where I studied hospitality management. From a young age, I have always had a fondness for watches. However, it wasn't until I started having regular conversations with Alex about watches that my passion for them truly flourished. I believe watches to be the epitome of jewellery, seamlessly blending aesthetics with intricate mechanics. Having always been drawn to art, I was fascinated by the idea that a watch is the materialisation and ultimate expression of a designer's artistic brilliance. But most importantly, I have found in watches a way to connect and bond with people. It helped me grow my relationship with Alex and also brought me closer to my cousin Maximiliaan, as watches became a point of common interest that transcended the physical distance, him living in the Netherlands and me in Switzerland.
Everyday I try to leverage my experience in hospitality and management to guarantee customer satisfaction, while also ensuring the longevity of the company's operations, for Veritas and Adonis to remain your go-to watch dealers.
