H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds Purple Haze 6201-1201

The Streamliner is one of those watches that makes an argument without raising its voice. Inspired by 1920s automotive and locomotive design, it introduced something genuinely new into the sports watch conversation: an integrated mono-link bracelet that flows into a cushion-shaped case without interruption, paired with a deliberately stripped-back dial that lets the fumé do all the talking. When the original Streamliner Centre Seconds launched in 2020, Moser quickly had to pause orders to rework and elevate it. The ref. 6201-1201 is the result: same DNA, but upgraded in every direction.

The Purple Haze dial is Moser’s fumé technique at its most striking. Deep purple at the centre bleeds outward to near-black at the edges, with the brand’s logo applied in transparent lacquer. It makes it invisible at certain angles, but present with the right angle and light. The indices and hands carry super-luminova. The movement, HMC 201, is an evolution of the HMC 200 that preceded it: an anthracite grey finish, a solid 18-carat gold engraved rotor, and 72 hours of power reserve. It fills the exhibition caseback in a way that justifies looking at the reverse as much as the front. Initially sold in 2024, the watch comes directly from its first owner. The case and integrated bracelet show the lightest traces of wear consistent with careful use, nothing that detracts from the overall presentation.
