Submariner, ref. 79190, circa 1995

The Tudor Submariner Blue is an interesting alternative to the classic Rolex Submariner, offering a design close to that of the latter but with significant differences, such as the obvious blue dial and bezel. about the watch

In 1989, Tudor unveiled the 79000 series of Submariners, which included the Ref. 79090 and 79190. The ref. 79190, which is a moderner version of the original 7900 series, offered both blue and black dial options with matching bezels. Notable changes included triangular hour markers at 6 and 9 o’clock. Its 39mm case housed an ETA 2824-2 movement, while the Oyster-type steel bracelet features solid links and a 'fliplock' folding clasp adorned with the Tudor logo.

The 79190 is a beautifully executed neo-vintage timepiece, which marries perfectly the vintage looks to resistance of modern watches. Indeed, although produced in the 90s, the watch sports an aesthetically pleasing blue dial with tritium hour-markers that are not circled but applied, reminiscent of 70s Submariners. Despite this vintage feature, the watch exhibits great resistance and is perfect for daily wear.

This specific piece was produced back in ca. 1995. The movement runs perfectly well.

The watch is in great condition. The case, bracelet and bezel have sharp angles and a lot of material, proving how well it was taken care of. The dial is immaculate.

The bracelet is the original solid-links Oyster bracelet. It is in great condition and has no stretch.

The watch is sold alone, without its box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.

The movement is a caliber 2824-2, which runs perfectly well.
