about the watch

In the vast world of horology, there is no debate on one thing: the most famous, sought after and timeless dive-watch is the Rolex Submariner. The stainless steel Submariner No Date is a true icon in Rolex's history, and this neo-vintage iteration is no exception. With its sleek black dial and luminova hour markers, this timepiece exudes both style and functionality. The tradition and history of the Submariner blended with the more modern technical developments and design make it one of the most sought-after 5-digits references from Rolex. It truly blends the both of both worlds.

This specific piece, sold in November 1999 at Honolulu airport, is in fantastic condition and features the more lively aluminum bezel. Cool feature here, the watch sports a “Swiss Only” dial, named so because the dial reads only “Swiss” at 6 o’clock. This rarer transitional version has been produced on the U and A-serials of Rolex’s sports models (from the second half of 1998 to 2000). Renowned for its versatility and durability, this watch is a true gem for any collector or enthusiast.

The watch is in very good condition, considering it was sold over 20 years ago. It was probably lightly refreshed once (no heavy polishing). Contrary to popular belief, this is not an issue considering it was well done. The dial is in immaculate condition.

The Oyster bracelet is in great condition and has no stretch. It is the original reference 93150 with solid endlinks.

The watch is sold with its original box, warranty card, the traduction booklet, GMT and Oyster booklets as well as the original green wallet. Although not a full set, it is a nice and complete set.

The movement is a caliber 3000, which runs perfectly well. Although the watch is waterproof, we do not recommend going jet skiing with it…
