about the watch

In the history of Rolex, rare are the entire model lines that have been produced for more than 10 years in limited quantity. With its classic steel case and bracelet, the 17000 stands out thanks to the characteristic 70's design as well as its integrated bracelet which reminds the Royal Oak by Genta. This reference brings a wind of freshness and originality to the Rolex range of models, and its design and mouvement strongly reminiscent of a pivotal moment in the Swiss watch industry.

A worthy representative of Rolex quartz production, this particular piece is in fantastic condition. The angles are sharp and there is still plenty of material on both the case and bracelet, proof that the piece has been extremely well preserved. The silver dial is immaculate, and the tritium has gained an even and charming patina, making this piece something unique on the wrist. Cherry on the cake, the watch comes with its original papers, which attest of its sale in 1978 in Japan. Whether it's the charisma it exudes or the rarity of the Oysterquartz, this watch is a real hidden gem and no doubt a future collector's item.

The case and bracelet are in fantastic condition. It still has sharp edges and a lot of material.

The bracelet is the original one, and has no stretch. Although this is not very important for the rarity and beauty of the watch, it is important to note that the buckle was changed, probably during an early service, as it wears a more recent stamp.

The watch is sold with its original guarantee papers, but without box. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.

The mouvement is the original quartz movement, caliber 5035, and is in excellent working condition.
