about the watch

Designed to display the time in two time zones simultaneously during intercontinental flights, the Rolex GMT Master 1675 is a legendary pilot's watch, known beyond watch enthusiasts for its timeless design and historical significance. With its red and blue "Pepsi" insert, stainless steel case and bracelet, and matt black dial, this timepiece embodies all the iconic features of vintage GMT. The dial is immaculate, with applied tritium hour markers that have acquired a splendid beige/eggshell patina. The hands are also original and have not been relumed. The bezel has seen its red half acquire a patina, now tending towards fuchsia pink. This gives it a unique look that collectors and lovers of vintage watches will appreciate. The case and bracelet are in superb condition, demonstrating that the piece has been preserved with great care over the years. The 1675 is a Holy Grail for any vintage Rolex enthusiast, representing a period of watchmaking history that is long gone but still highly appreciated. Available in a multitude of versions, this particular one is an mk5B, rarer than the mk5 and mk5A versions.

The case has plenty of material and the edges are still sharp. The buckle and bracelet are also in excellent condition.

The Oyster bracelet, reference 78360, is the original bracelet and has no stretch. The buckle is coded DE3, indicating that it was changed during a service in 2001. This is the only service part on this watch, the rest being entirely original.

The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.

The movement is the original caliber 1575, which runs perfectly well.
