about the watch

IIn Rolex's long and rich history, few models can lay claim to such renown as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen many variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials. The reference 16014 saw the introduction of the quick date setting, which adds simplicity of use without compromising the vintage look of the piece.

This particular piece, with its silver dial, fluted white gold bezel and jubilee bracelet, remains probably the best-known and most sought-after version, thanks in no small part to its versatility. The fascinating dial varies from metallic silver to a light champagne colour depending on the light, giving it a lively, dynamic appearance on the wrist. The hour markers and hands are in tritium, the latter having gained a charming orange pumpkin patina, which makes the piece all the more unique.

The watch is in goodcondition and is completely original. Icing on the cake: the piece comes with its original box and papers. This piece is the perfect starting point for a collection and a must-have for any serious watch enthusiast.

The case is in good condition, with a lot of material and sharp edges.

The buckle and bracelet are in good condition too. The bracelet is the original one, reference 62510H, and has no stretch.

The watch is sold with its original box and papers, which is an uncommon but enjoyable feature on these references.

The movement is the original caliber 3035, which runs well.
