about the watch
In Rolex's long and rich history, few models can lay claim to such renown as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen many variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials.
This particular watch features a rare ‘tapestry’ dial, so named because of the vertical stripes that lend it depth and create a fascinating play of light. Indeed, the colour ranges from light grey/champagne to cream. This versatile dial gives the watch a lively and dynamic appearance on the wrist. The steel bezel is original and very attractive, giving the watch a slightly sportier look than if it were fitted with the famous fluted white gold bezel. The Jubilee bracelet is in perfect condition and is made of steel, just like the case and bezel.
As we like to say, neo-vintage watches often strike a good balance, offering the durability and precision of a modern watch whilst retaining the aesthetics and charm of vintage models.
Furthermore, the watch is in excellent overall condition, as it is entirely original. This makes it the perfect first Rolex and a must-have for anyone looking to complete their collection.
The case and strap are in good condition, showing sharp angles and a lot of material.
The Jubilee bracelet is the original one, reference 62510H, and shows no signs of stretch.
The watch is sold alone, without original box and papers.
The movement is the original 3135 calibre, which is in perfect working order. It was serviced in June 2026 by our watchmakers.
