about the watch
In Rolex's long and rich history, few models can lay claim to such renown as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen many variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials.
Reference 16014 saw the introduction of the quick date setting, which adds simplicity of use without compromising the vintage look of the piece.
This particular piece, with its silver dial, fluted white gold bezel and jubilee bracelet, remains probably the best-known and most sought-after version, thanks in no small part to its versatility. The fascinating dial varies from metallic silver to a slight champagne colour depending on the light, giving it a lively, dynamic appearance on the wrist.
The indexes and hands are in tritium, the latter having gained an appealing pumpkin orange patina, which makes the piece all the more original.
The overall condition of the watch is excellent, with plenty of material left on the case and sharp corners. It is the perfect starting point for a collection and a must-have for any serious watch enthusiast.
The case has a lot of material and sharp edges.
The buckle and bracelet are in excellent condition too. The bracelet is the original one, reference 62510H, and has no stretch.
The watch is sold without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 3035, which runs well.
