about the watch
In Rolex's long and rich history, few models can lay claim to such renown as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen many variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials. The reference 16014 saw the introduction of the date's quickset, which adds simplicity of use without compromising the vintage look of the piece.
This particular piece has a white glossy dial, a configuration that is very rare on the 16014 reference. The hour markers and hands have acquired a beautiful and homogenous yellow patina that contrasts perfectly with the white dial. This magnificent dial is surrounded by a white gold bezel and visible under the plexiglass. The case and Jubilee bracelet, reference 62510H, are made of steel.
The overall condition of the watch is fantastic, having kept much of its material and sharp angles. It is the perfect starting point for a collection and a must-have for any serious watch enthusiast looking for an unusual Datejust configuration.
The case has a lot of material and sharp edges. Certainly the watch has been refreshed, but no heavy polishing was made.
The buckle and bracelet are in excellent condition too. The bracelet is the original one, reference 62510H, and has no stretch.
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travel pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 3035, which runs well.
