Piaget
Reference 9453 B11, circa 1980s
This Piaget reference 9453 B11 is one of the most interesting pieces we've had the privilege of collecting and ultimately selling. Its integrated bracelet and case are made out of 18k white gold, and the latter encapsulates the most interesting part of this piece: the splendid lapis lazuli dial.

about the watch
Since 1874, the Piaget family has been renowned for its craftsmanship and manufacturing qualities. In recent years, Piaget has returned to the forefront, becoming an increasingly sought-after brand among collectors, particularly vintage enthusiasts. Like Cartier, it is the products from the 60s to the 90s that are sparking the most interest.
Despite the notable presence of Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, among others, Piaget has made its mark in a very specific sector: original timepieces with integrated bracelets and dials in semi-precious stones. Indeed, Piaget dared to create models that were each crazier and more original than the last, and this left an indelible mark on the watchmaking design of the 1970s and beyond.
This particular timepiece, a reference 9453B11, has an 18k white gold case known as 'TV shape', a shape endemic to the 70s. The integrated bracelet, also in 18k white gold, is exceptionally comfortable.
Of course, the real attraction of this timepiece lies in the dial. It is made of lapis lazuli, a semi-precious stone that creates a breathtaking visual effect. It varies in colour according to the light, going from an ocean blue to a much brighter royal blue. The gold-coloured pyrite incursions are all unique to the stone, so no two watches have a similar dial. These incursions contribute to the beauty of the dial, breaking the 'monotony' of this fascinating blue. With its unisex-sized case (30 x 32 mm), this timepiece is perfect for all watch lovers, and can be an excellent first step into the world of vintage Piagets, without upsetting the watchmaking habits and tastes of seasoned collectors.
The case has excellent proportions, and although it has been worn, it is still in fantastic condition. The piece has been very well cared for over time.
The buckle and bracelet are also in excellent condition. The bracelet fits a maximum wrist size of 16 cm.
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 9P, which runs well.
