about the watch
In the history of Rolex, few entire model lines have been produced for more than 10 years in quantities of less than 25,000 pieces, all references and configurations combined. This particular piece, an Oysterquartz Day Date reference 19019, is the pinnacle of Rolex's quartz production. The silver dial is immaculate, and the tritium has gained an even and charming light patina, making this piece something unique on the wrist, both for its weight of gold and movement, as well as its rarity and elegance. A real hidden gem, even for those who do not like quartz.
The case has a lot of material, which is a good sign. Certainly the watch has been lightly refreshed (no heavy polishing) once in its life, but no more. This is all the more spectacular considering that the watch is over 40 years old and is made entirely of 18-carat white gold.
The buckle and bracelet are in excellent condition too. The bracelet is the original one.
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 5055, which runs perfectly well. The watch is still waterproof, although we do not recommend to try and meet fishes with it...
