about the watch
In Rolex's long and rich history, few models can claim to be as important as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the model has seen numerous variations and combinations of cases, bracelets and dials.
The reference 16233 saw the introduction of sapphire crystal, improving robustness compared to older references. The watch also features a quickset date setting. It has been very well preserved over the years, the case and bracelet are in superb condition, showing how well it was taken care of. The champagne dial, which blends perfectly into the continuity of the bracelet and case, is impeccable. The tritium of the hands and index are in perfect condition. Although classic, the dial varies in colour according to the light, lending it a great deal of charm.
Whether to start a collection or to add to one already well underway, the 16233 is the perfect reference for everyday wear. With two-tone watches coming back into fashion, the 16233 is certainly one of the pieces that will be more and more desired by watch enthusiasts.
The case is in very good condition, the lugs are sharp and thick.
The buckle and bracelet are also in excellent condition. The Jubilee bracelet is the original one, reference 62523H.
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travel pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 3135, which runs perfectly well.
