about the watch
In the rich and long history of Rolex, not many model lines can pride themselves in being as significant as the Datejust. Born in 1945, the Datejust has seen many variations of cases, bracelets, and dials combinations, but this specific piece, the silver dial and jubilee bracelet, probably remains one of the most sought-after and easy-wearing timepieces of all time. The bezel of the 16030 is made out of steel, and not white gold like the fluted bezel references. This configuration brings a little twist to this all-time classic and shows one made the effort to find his perfect fit in the vast offering of Datejust’s combinations. The silver dial is immaculate, and the tritium has gained an even and charming patina.
The case has a lot of material and sharp edges. Certainly the watch has been lightly repolished, but it was well-done, conserving much of the case’s material. This is all the more spectacular considering that the watch is over 40 years old.
The buckle and bracelet are in excellent condition too. The bracelet is the original one.
The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.
The movement is the original caliber 3035, which runs perfectly well. The watch is still waterproof, although we do not recommend trying to meet fishes with it...
