about the watch

In 1988, Roth established his eponymous brand, producing his first timepieces in 1989 from his workshop in Le Sentier. This move, unconventional at the time, marked him as a trailblazer for independent watchmakers like F.P. Journe. Inspired by Breguet but forging his own path, Roth's designs featured hand guilloché dials and innovative cases. His limited production focused on intricate details, including complications like the tourbillon and perpetual calendar.

The Daniel Roth Chronograph reference S247 is a testament to the watchmaker’s legacy, crafted during the period of 1995-1999. Its distinctive double-ellipse steel case embodies Roth's unique design ethos, balancing boldness with comfort at 41 mm x 38 mm and 11.4 mm thick.

This iconic timepiece features exquisite finishing, highlighted by the signature pinstripe guilloché pattern on the grey dial. The watch is delivered with its full original set. It was sold in 1999 and has been kept in a stunning condition. It is mounted on a blue leather bracelet, reminding the bluish hands and perfectly complementing the silver dial. The watch is powered by the DR 400 caliber, based on the legendary El Primero 400 movement.

The watch is in amazing condition. It was very well taken care of over the years. There are no major bumps or scratches, but of course due to its age it has some visible micro scratches.

The bracelet is new.

The watch is sold with its full original set.

The movement is a caliber DR 400, which runs perfectly well.
