about the watch
The Navitimer is arguably Breitling's most iconic reference, and the mechanical revival of 1985 marked a turning point for the brand after the quartz era. Reintroduced with the Lemania 1873 calibre, the same movement powering the Omega Speedmaster, the Navitimer reclaimed its status as the definitive pilot's chronograph.
The present example is reference A11022, produced in 1995 as part of a numbered limited series of 250 pieces made exclusively for the Japanese market. It bears the number 18x on its dial, and features a sapphire caseback, allowing a direct view of the Lemania 1873 movement. The 41.5mm stainless steel case houses a sapphire crystal, and the tritium lume retains the warm patina consistent with its age.
The watch is in very good overall condition. The case presents some light surface scratches consistent with normal wear, nothing deep or detracting, the kind of honest patina expected on a 30-year-old piece. The bracelet is equally well preserved. What further sets this piece apart is the completeness of its set: box, international warranty, and the original limited-series certificate, all documentation that is rarely found intact nearly three decades on. A highly collectible Navitimer variant for the serious enthusiast.

which runs perfectly well.
