about the watch
Designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, the Royal Oak is arguably one of the three most influential watches in the history of watchmaking. Describing it as a legendary product that changed the industry is no exaggeration, and only those who refuse to acknowledge the Royal Oak’s historical significance will judge it unfairly.
Born out of the German market’s demand for a watch with a decidedly “Offshore” spirit, the Royal Oak Offshore was launched at the Basel Fair in April 1993 and sent shockwaves through the industry. Nicknamed “The Beast” upon its release, it redefined the codes of the luxury sports chronograph. The 26238ST is a direct evolution of the 1993 original: the design remains true to its essence, but every line, every bevel, and every pusher has been reimagined, particularly around the new integrated manufacture caliber 4404. This movement offers a 70-hour power reserve and can be admired through the sapphire caseback, revealing in particular the spectacular three-hammer reset mechanism. Audemars Piguet has once again perfectly harnessed its expertise to create a timepiece that is both historic and resolutely contemporary.
This specific piece, sold in 2022, is in very good cosmetic condition, as it was only lightly worn. Some stickers are still visible around the bezel. The case, bracelet, and dial are therefore impeccable. It comes with its original full set, from its first owner. The watch also comes with an additional rubber strap and is under warranty by AP until 2027.

The watch comes with the original full set, including the original box and papers.
The movement is the 404 chronograph caliber, which runs perfectly well. The watch is still under warranty until 2027.
