About the watch

In 1989, Tudor unveiled the 79000 series of Submariners, which included the ref. 79090 and 79190. The ref. 75190 is the little sister of the 7900 series, made in 36mm to fit a different, wider audience. Reminiscent of the original series, it was offered with both blue and black dial options with matching bezels, but it already sports a sapphire crystal. Notable changes included triangular hour markers at 6 and 9 o’clock. Its 36 case housed an ETA 2824 movement, while the Oyster-type steel bracelet featured folding links and a folding clasp adorned with the Tudor logo. The 75190 is a beautifully executed homage to the vintage Submariners. Indeed, although produced in the 90s, the watch sports an aesthetically pleasing blue dial with painted tritium indexes that are not white gold surrounded and an Oyster bracelet with folding links, both reminiscent of 70s Submariners. Despite these vintage features, the watch exhibits great resistance and is perfect for daily wear for anyone seeking more than just a classic black Submariner. This specific piece dates back to circa 1996 and has been kept in fully original condition. The dial is immaculate and sports a beautiful light beige tritium patina on the hour-markers, as well as on the hands. It is a great watch to start in the world of vintage Tudor and vintage watches more globally.

The watch is in great condition. The case, bracelet and bezel have sharp angles and a lot of material. The dial is immaculate and shows a lovely beige patina on the tritium. The bracelet is the original folded-links Oyster bracelet. It is in great condition.

The watch is sold alone, without box or papers. We provide a Veritas travelling pouch.

The movement is a caliber 2824-2, which has been serviced by our watchmakers.
