About the watch
Designed to display the time in two time zones simultaneously during intercontinental flights, the Rolex GMT Master is a legendary pilot's watch known beyond watch enthusiasts for its timeless design and historical significance. With its red and blue "Pepsi" insert, stainless steel case and bracelet, and black dial, this timepiece embodies all the iconic features of a GMT.
This reference 16700, sold in May 1993 in London, features a beautiful tritium dial and hands, which have gained patina and aged to a charming beige colour. As we like to say, neo-vintage watches are often a good mix, offering the strength and precision of a modern watch while retaining the aesthetics and wearability of the vintages.
This particular piece is entirely original and in excellent condition. The Pepsi insert is a timeless GMT feature that perfectly complements the black dial, giving the timepiece excellent readability and a timeless look. Rare feature, the watch is mounted on its original Jubilee bracelet, which is much rarer than the Oyster bracelet. The watch is delivered with its original set, conferring great collector's value on this splendid GMT.

The bracelet is the original Jubilee. It has only a light stretch.

Movement information
The movement is the original caliber 3185, which runs perfectly well. It was serviced by our watchmaker and comes with one year warranty.
In-person viewing
Our watches can be viewed in person in Lausanne, by appointment only. Although we do occasionally travel to meet clients in Geneva, Zurich or Bern, Lausanne remains the most convenient meeting place.
